|MODEL T FORD CLUB OF NORTHWEST OHIO|
|Officers: Dave Benny, Pres.; Bob Hollister, V-Pres.; Jim Cook, Sec/Treas/Editor|
|NEXT MEETING: has not been scheduled at this time. The August meeting will be posted in the next newsletter. If we do anything in the month of July, it will be a day tour to one of the proposed destinations for the 2002 Ohio Jamboree.|
|The June meeting was held at Jack Putnam's garage near Bluffton. There were eighteen members in attendance. Dave Benny led the meeting. Rhonda Neely, the Alzheimer's Care Director of the Lima Health and Rehabilitation Center talked to the club about incorperating an old car show into an event that they are planning for August 10th in Lima. She explained about how alzheimer's disease affects the short term memory first and how the old cars will be remembered by the patients because they are memories from the distant past.
The club is reminded to continue to save their aluminum cans for the 2002 Ohio Jamboree. A signup sheet was passed around to see who will be willing to work on this event. We will need 100% participation to pull this thing off.
Sue Cook was at the meeting to invite the members to a potluck and short tour at Sycamore, Ohio on June 24th. The Forest, Ohio Tree Town Festival Committee is once again soliciting our club to participate in their parade. The club will not be participating; but, I am including the information in case an individual is interested.

|Sycamore area potluck and tour|
|The Sycamore potluck and mini-tour on June 24th was moved to the Methodist Church from Sycamore park when we realized that a ball tournament was going on at the same time. A short 20 mile tour of the area with stops at the Indian Mill, Parker Covered Bridge, and Jerry Wolf's Old Time Garage was enjoyed by all. The only trouble was experienced by one of Berlyn Geary's Model A's. It was later determined to be a shorted wire in the electrical system. Berlyn just went home and picked up another car and met up with the rest of us at the Indian Mill. Jim and Sue would like to thank all of those who participated in the event. It was great to get everyone together for the tour.
We would also like to thank Jerry Wolfe's widow, Jean, for letting the group look at all of Jerry's stuff. After the tour was planned and Jim had talked to him, Jerry passed away suddenly. This was only a couple of weeks before the tour. Jean agreed to let us go ahead with the tour, with the help of a grandson and Berlyn. Jean later came back to the church with us to clean up the desserts that were leftover from lunch.

|As always, if someone has a project that they are working on and would like the club to help out, bring it up at the meeting for the members to discuss. There is a great amount of knowledge in the group. Every one of us can make a difference in the group. We might even decide to have the next meeting in your garage for a little hands-on-experience.|
|Anyone that would like to write an article for the newsletter or present a project at one of our meetings is welcome to contact one of the officers. We'd be glad to have the help. Thanks!!!|
